About Amanda

Amanda Cook is a Sydney-based artist with a background in graphic design. After years of painting and doodling at her own pace, she began taking on commissioned pieces, developing a distinctive style across portraiture, landscapes, and nostalgic vintage objects and scenes. Her work is grounded in a love of detail and an ability to capture both likeness and feeling.

Nostalgia sits at the heart of Amanda’s work. Whether it’s a familiar household object, a landscape, or a memory brought to life, her paintings invite viewers to pause and reconnect with moments that feel both personal and universal.

She particularly loves it when someone makes comments like "Oh remember when we went there", "Oh my Nan use to have one of those".

Working primarily in acrylics and watercolours, she creates pieces that are warm, expressive, and thoughtfully composed.

Amanda sells her artwork through word of mouth, social media, and at The Ferris Wheel, where her work continues to find a growing audience of collectors who are drawn to its charm and sentiment.
