About Amanda
I am a Sydney-based artist with a background in graphic design. After years of painting and doodling at my own pace, I began taking on commissioned pieces, developing a style across portraiture, landscapes, and nostalgic vintage objects and scenes. My work is grounded in a love of detail and being able to capture both likeness and feeling.
Nostalgia sits at the heart of my work. Whether it’s a familiar household object, a landscape, or a memory brought to life, I'm always hopeful that my paintings invite viewers to pause and reconnect with moments that feel both personal and universal.
I particularly love it when someone makes comments like "Oh remember when we went there", "Oh my Nanna use to have one of those".
Working primarily in acrylics and watercolours, I aim to create pieces that are warm, expressive, and thoughtfully composed.
I sell my artwork through word of mouth, social media, and at Ferris Wheel Bowral, where I continue to find a growing audience of collectors who are drawn to the charm and sentiment of the paintings.
